Yes. Washington has a specific Fair Housing education requirement. If you have not previously completed the initial 6-Hour Washington Real Estate Fair Housing course, you must complete it. After completing the initial 6-hour course, Washington requires a 3-hour Fair Housing course with subsequent renewals.

Washington requires active brokers to complete a 3-Hour Current Issues in Washington Residential Real Estate (CORE) course as part of their continuing education.

The other courses in the 90-hour package do not have comprehensive final exams. Instead, students complete shorter quizzes throughout each course. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass each quiz and continue through the course, with unlimited attempts available to achieve a passing score.

Washington officially treats the education required for a broker's first active renewal as continuing education, but the first renewal carries a much larger 90-hour requirement.

For that reason, this education is often referred to as post-licensing education or first-renewal education. After your first active renewal, you'll generally complete Washington's standard 30-hour continuing education requirement for each subsequent active renewal.
